ELECTION 2022 RESULTS: Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine

Results are in for the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine

Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine election results are in with 912 out of 6,759 estimated eligible voters having cast their ballots for area directors.

Ted Ramsey handily won Thornhill, Area E of the regional district, with 224 votes and 70.9 per cent of Thornhill voters checking his name on their ballots over incumbent Jeffery Hammond, who got 92 votes and 29.1 per cent approval.

Incumbent Bruce Bidgood won Area C, comprising Rural Terrace, South Coast with 146 votes and 51.2 per cent voter approval. Gill McKean came in second for the rural area with 92 votes and 32.3 per cent of voters checking his name on their ballots. Final candidate Martin Holzbauer came in third with 47 votes and 16.5 per cent approval.

Cyra Yunkws ousted incumbent Dean Paranich in Area B, comprising Hazeltons Rural Areas, Kispiox Valley and Moricetown through Cedarvale, with 211 votes and 67.8 per cent voter approval. Paranich got 78 votes and 25.1 per cent approval. Third and final candidate Roy Davies got 22 votes, just over seven per cent.

Eric Nyce was acclaimed in Area A comprising the Nass Valley and Meziadin. Dave Brocklebank was acclaimed in Area D comprising Telegraph Creek, Iskut and Bob Quinn.Tina Etzerza was acclaimed in Area F comprising Dease Lake.
