The Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 108 calls for service from August 17, 8 a.m. to August 20, 8 a.m.
Fifteen of these calls were for false alarms/911 calls. During the same time, 13 people were lodged in Terrace cells – 12 of these were for public intoxication.

A person shot a pellet gun at the My Fitness Centre and broke a window.
The Loss Prevention Officer of Walmart arrested an intoxicated 50-year-old man for shoplifting. The man was on conditions to not be in Walmart. Police are forwarding charges of theft and breach of undertaking to Crown Counsel.
A red dune buggy was driving down King Ave. and Old Lakelse Lake Rd. near the Skeena Valley Golf and Country Club. Ongoing issue. Checks were done of the area.
Intoxicated woman on Loen Ave. Police located the 31-year-old woman on Munroe St. She was in a state of nakedness and had soiled herself. She was incoherent due to her level of intoxication. Police arrested her for public intoxication.
Numerous suspicious occurrences on Old Remo Rd. A jerry can was stolen from the back of a pickup truck. A door of a home was forced open. The home was entered but nothing appeared to have been taken. Unfamiliar tire impressions were noted in a driveway. And two men were observed by a neighbour in the late evening walking down a driveway.
Police checked on the well-being of a dog left in a car near the Dairy Queen. Police spoke with the owner of the dog. The dog was fine.
Landlord/tenant issues. The landlord has concerns about the company his tenant is keeping. Police gave advice on the matter. The matter is civil in nature.
Two intoxicated men playing cards at a residence on Old Lakelse Lake Dr. became upset with each other. One of the men left after being pushed. Police were called to the residence a second time when the intoxicated man who stayed decided to yell outside the front of his residence causing his neighbours to not be happy. Police found the man asleep on re-attendance.
A group of people swimming at Lakelse Lake picnic ground on Aug. 19 at 3 a.m. had items stolen. Pants, wallets, and keys were taken.
An intoxicated male driver in his 30’s in a white GMC pickup truck hit the side of McDonald’s while going thru the drive thru on August 19. Damage to the building was minimal.
A red 1992 Ford Econoline Van in the ditch on Beam Station Rd. on Herman’s Hill. A rear tire was dropped into the ditch causing the van to high centre. En route police observed an intoxicated man hitchhiking on the road. He denied knowledge of the van. The 23-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication. Police located another man south of the vehicle walking down the road. He denied involvement with the van but a Ford key was found on his person. This 41-year-old man was also arrested for pubic intoxication. The van was towed and the registered owner was notified.
A wallet, keys, phone, and clothing were stolen from a picnic site at Lakelse Lake on August 19.
Shoplifter at Safeway. Described as Caucasian, mid 30’s, slim, green t-shirt, a white #8 on the back of the t-shirt, black shorts, black hat, carrying a bag, riding a bike.
Gas was siphoned from 2005 Chevrolet Blazer on Goulet Ave. The gas cap was also stolen.
Possible intoxicated drivers in a red 1998 Pontiac Sunfire and a blue 1997 GMC pickup en route to Terrace from Red Sand Lake. Checks were done of area.
An 83-year-old driver in a red 2011 Subaru Forester was pulled over for doing 148 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone. The driver was issued violation tickets and the vehicle he was driving was impounded for seven days.
