Drunk man falls into hatchery

Terrace RCMP say he tumbled down steep part of Howe Creek Trail.

TERRACE RCMP have responded to approximately 33 calls for service from June 4, 8 a.m. till June 5, 8 a.m. During the same time period, there have been three people lodged in Terrace Cells, all for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

false business alarm on Lakelse Ave.

a 52-year-old man brought two bikes into a local business for repair. One was confirmed stolen. A tan Gary Fisher 8 speed bike was the second bike. It is undetermined whether this bike is stolen or not. Under investigation.

a 35-year-old man banned from Safeway inside of the store. He left prior to police attendance. He returned a short time later and again left prior to police attendance. Checks were done of the area.

stolen items being sold on Facebook. Police spoke with an employee of the store and gave advice on the matter.

three calls about an intoxicated man on Lakelse Ave. A 27-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication.

a 49-year-old man swearing at customers at McDonald's on Lakelse Ave. Police spoke with the man and he went on his way. He returned later in the evening and caused more problems. Police banned him from McDonald's for the night.

false business alarm on Keith Ave.

speeding blue 2007 Dodge Ram in a school zone on Straume Ave. Police spoke with the registered owner.

young child locked in a grey 2005 Toyota Corolla parked at Walmart. The vehicle was gone prior to police attendance.

a woman wanted police to remove her spouse from their residence. There were no grounds to do so.

a woman crying at a hotel. Police spoke with the woman and directed her towards other accommodation.

report of a man having consensual sex with a 17-year-old girl. Police advised the complainant that there was nothing against the law.

an older brown Honda Civic driving around in George Little Park. Checks were done of area.

false business alarm on Kalum St.

a frustrated mother with an out-of-control son seeking help. Police spoke at length with the woman and gave advice on the matter.

a man urinated on another man's vehicle in spite over a woman. Further police involvement was not wanted.

man passed out on Kalum St. Police arrested a 21-year-old man for public intoxication.

abandoned 911 call. A man pushed a woman out of a house and would not let her back in. Police helped the woman gather a few belongings and alternate accommodation was found for the night.

a man refused accommodation at the shelter on Hall St. and is now causing a disturbance. He left prior to police attendance. Checks were done of area.

yelling and banging on doors of townhouses on Haugland Ave. Checks were done of the area.

dropped 911 call. It was a familial dispute. A person left prior to police attendance and there were no further issues or concerns.

intoxicated person falling down the steep portion of Howe Creek Trail into the hatchery of Eby St. Police arrested a 23-year-old man for public intoxication.

Thornhill

an intoxicated woman and her son yelling at a man and refusing to leave. They decided to leave after police were called. No further problems.
