Driver uninjured when vehicle crashes 145 feet down embankment in Terrace, B.C.

During the same time period, 13 people were lodged in Terrace cells – eight of these people were lodged for intoxication.

Here are some of the calls responded to:

The rear passenger side window of a Ford F150 was smashed out while it was parked on the 4800 block of Hwy 16 west sometime between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. on January 21st.

A man yelling at woman in a front yard of a residence. The woman ran into the safety of her home but the man continued to walk around the yard. Police arrested a 26-year-old man. Checks determined that he was breaching condition of not to consume alcohol. He was held for court.

A 2003 Ford Focus lost control on Lanfear Hill and went over an embankment. The vehicle momentarily stopped approximately 25 ft down the embankment and the driver managed to get out. Then the vehicle continued to spin and crash down the rest of the embankment, ending up approximately 120 ft down. The driver was uninjured.

On January 21st at 3:20 a.m., the passenger window of a 1994 red Dodge Spirit was smashed out by a man with a ponytail who fled in a van with a woman. The Dodge was in a parking lot on the 4500 block of Scott Ave.

A Kia Sorrento lost control on Haaland Ave./Walker St. and hit the ditch, getting hung up on small trees. No injuries.

A 2005 grey Honda Civic lost control on Hwy 34 near Water Lily Bay and hit the ditch. No injuries. Minor damage to the vehicle.

A disturbance on Greig Ave. Checks determined that an intoxicated man and an intoxicated youth were both breaching conditions of not to consume alcohol. The youth also had a warrant for arrest. The 42-year-old man was arrested and was held for court. The youth was also arrested and held for court.

A white iPod was found by the skate park.

An iPad with a cracked screen in a black Otter case was found in Christy Park’s soccer fields.

Shoplifter at Walmart.

The rear passenger side window of a red 2003 Dodge Caravan was smashed out on January 2nd at approximately 9 p.m. while parked in the Walmart parking lot.
