Driver blows twice the legal limit

Terrace RCMP say he also had no licence, the vehicle had expired licence plates and was eligible to be impounded.

TERRACE RCMP have responded to approximately 32 calls for service from June 18th, 8 a.m. till June 19th, 8 a.m. During the same time period, there was one person lodged in Terrace Cells for public intoxication.

two cell phones were lost, described as a Blackberry Torch Model 9800 and a black IPhone IMEI with a red/maroon colored plastic cover.

theft from a white 1996 Ford F150 truck parked on Apsley St. sometime between 10:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. Items stolen were a green backpack, tackle box with lures, rod and reel, blue lawn chair, digital camera, and two knives.

intoxicated man at the Terrace Soup Kitchen on Sparks St. Police arrested a 40-year-old man for public intoxication.

intoxicated 71-year-old man being teased by youth on Park Ave. Police arrested the man. He fell over and caused injury to himself. Police requested the assistance of BC Ambulance who transported the man to Mills Memorial Hospital for assessment.

false business alarm on Keith Ave.

loud bang and flash on Weber Ave. Numerous checks were done of area. A discarded firework case was found.

a man harassing a woman. Police gave advice on the matter.

Thornhill

diesel fuel was stolen from a truck on Queensway Dr.

prohibited driver near Paquette St. Police located the red 2007 Chevrolet Silverado parked on Clark St. The 34-year-old driver was unlicensed, a vehicle impound candidate, and the truck he was driving had an expired licence plate. He was arrested for impaired driving and provided two samples of breath that were double the legal limit. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

abandoned 911 call. The phone's location was unable to be determined. Information on the phone was unavailable.
