Dog runs into vehicle causing damage in south Terrace

Minor damage to small SUV, no injuries to the dog or any people.

TERRACE RCMP have responded to approximately 22 calls for service from May 13, 8 a.m. till May 14, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, there have been two people lodged in Terrace Cells, one was for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

man passed out on a park bench outside of the Scotiabank. Checks were done of the area.

intoxicated man inside of the Royal Bank. Police arrested a 71-year-old man for public intoxication. Another intoxicated 49-year-old man was observed passed out behind a flower bed. He was woken up and displayed signs of medical distress. BC Ambulance was called.

theft of a Samsung cell phone at a business in the Skeena Mall.

police observed a woman crying walking down Park Ave. Investigation determined that she had been assaulted by her spouse and suffered minor injuries. A 42-year-old man was arrested for assault. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

possible domestic. Investigation determined that a sober and sleeping person took offence to a group of intoxicated people attempting to enter her residence to continue a party. No offence occurred.

Elsewhere Terrace

criminal harassment complaint. Advice was given on the matter.

a woman wanted police to remove a spouse from a residence. Investigation determined that the man had not committed an offence. A discussion was had with the woman about courses of action. This was not a police matter.

boy on conditions to have no contact with people under the age of 14 was observed with a five-year-old walking towards a school. Police spoke with a boy matching the description provided. It was not the boy on conditions.

a Samsung HSPA Smart Phone was lost on Tetrault St.

familial dispute. Police spoke with the people involved and convinced a 14-year-old boy to go with his mother.

familial dispute. A 13-year-old boy refuses to live with either of his parents. Police gave advice on the matter.

drug information received.

a man walking around a parking lot on Park Ave., may be looking into vehicles. Police spoke with the man. Unfounded complaint.

a dog ran from a residence on Agar Ave. and struck a brown 2011 Toyota Rav 4, causing minor damage to the bumper. Police spoke with the people involved. No injuries.

loud music from a residence on Scott Ave. Police spoke with the principal renter.

Thornhill

a 12-year-old boy refused to get into a vehicle with his guardian, then ran away. He returned home on his own a short time later.

loud music on Mountainview Ave. Checks were done of the area.

Rural

theft of a black and green Dakine back pack from an unlocked Mazda truck parked on River Drive on May 7.

report of a false complaint. This complaint was not made to the police and therefore does not meet the requirements of a public mischief offence. Advice was given on the matter.

dispute over property. Advice was given on the matter.

man firing an air rifle near Copper River Rd. Police spoke with a 61-year-old man who agreed to stop plinking since it was annoying neighbors.

transport truck in the ditch partially blocking Catt Point Rd. The truck was towed out of the ditch.
