Court orders hefty fine

Local man will be out a couple of thousand dollars for drug conviction.

A DRUG conviction will cost a local man a hefty fine.

Peter Timothy Unruh will pay a $2,000 fine after pleading guilty to one charge of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking from earlier this year Aug. 19 in provincial court here.

He has until March 2014 to pay it and a $300 victim fine surcharge.

Unruh is also prohibited from owning or possessing firearms for 10 years, will have to give a DNA sample to police and forfeit items seized by police.
