Do you have a colleague that leaves an empty coffee pot? How about the spouse that leaves the toilet seat up? Maybe a friend that constantly texts when out for supper?
This is your chance to have people arrested for their misdemeanors in the annual Crime Stoppers' Jail and Bail.
This year there is an added bonus up for purchase: immunity cards that can be presented to the arresting officer and the arrest warrant will be null and void.
Terrace sheriffs and RCMP members from Terrace, Nass Valley, and Kitimat will be on hand making the arrests.
Defence counsel Bryan Crampton has volunteered to sit as judge.
Crime Stoppers is a group of volunteers that work with citizens, the media and law enforcement agencies to make their community safe. Crime Stoppers gives anonymity to people that want to provide information to the police.
“Each year, the citizens of Terrace strongly support this cause. The NWCC will also be on hand cooking up hamburgers for donations. The event is the primary fundraiser for the Terrace Crime Stoppers Society," says Ian Nankervis, president of the Terrace Crime Stoppers Society.
Crime Stoppers Jail and Bail kicks off Riverboat Days on Friday, August 1st from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bell Media parking lot.
Deadline for registration is July 31st.
