Come pull some weeds tonight

Invasive species becoming a concern to many in Terrace, BC

WEEDS, if left unchecked, can choke out many useful plants and two local groups are doing something about it.

Tonight at 6:30 pm, one and all are invited to gather at the bottom of Lanfear Hill beginning at 6:30 pm for a community weed pulliing event.

It’s being sponsored by the Greater Terrace Food Association and the Greater Terrace Beautification Society.

Discussions leading to tonight came out of the Greater Terrace Agricultural Area Plan which recognized the problem of invasive weed species.

The Greater Terrace Food Association organized the event and secured support through the Northwest Invasive Plant Council.

Refreshments will follow.
