BC Transit to reduce service on route 11 and 12 of Skeena regional transit routes from Aug. 14

Service reduction due to labour shortage

BC Transit will be further reducing service along its Kitimat-Terrace routes due to driver shortage.

Starting August 14, services along Route 11 and 12 will be reduced until further notice, said the transit company.

Saturday service (Route 11) 11:35am departure from Kitimat (City Center Mall) to Terrace will be suspended until further notice. Saturday service (Route 12) 2:15pm departure from Kitimat (City Center Mall) to Kitamaat Village will be also be suspended until further notice

BC Transit also announced earlier this week (Aug. 9) it will be temporarily reducing service on Kitimat routes 1A, 1B, 2 and 3 on Fridays and Sundays.
