Backhoe set on fire and drilling rig window smashed

Terrace, B.C. RCMP call on public to find those who wrecked the machinery causing thousands in damages

The following release was issued today by the RCMP team searching for perpetrator of arson and vandalism:

“Police are asking the public for any information about an arson and vandalism that occurred on Nov. 21 shortly after 1 a.m.. A backhoe was completely destroyed by a deliberately set fire and a drilling rig had its cab windows smashed out and its hydraulic hoses tampered with. Both units were parked beside each other on Thornhill Frontage Road, west of Kofoed Dr.

“If you have information about this crime contact the Terrace RCMP at (250)638-7400 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers by telephone at 1-800-222-TIPS, online at www.terracecrimestoppers.ca or by texting TERRACE plus your message to 274637 (CRIMES). If your information leads to an arrest you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2000.”
