The Terrace River Kings secured a narrow 3-2 victory over the Prince Rupert Rampage on Oct. 19, in a fiercely competitive match at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre in Prince Rupert.
The game remained scoreless through the first period, with both teams battling for control.
Prince Rupert finally broke the deadlock early in the second period with a powerplay goal by defenceman Tyler Ostrom at 4:46, giving the Rampage a 1-0 lead.
Terrace responded later in the period, as Braden Vennard found the back of the net to tie the game 1-1 going into the third.
In the final period, the River Kings took control with a goal from Colin Bell, followed soon after by Carter Shannon, pushing the lead to 3-1. Prince Rupert narrowed the gap with Judd Repole’s goal at 9:31, but it wasn't enough to avoid a 3-2 defeat.
