Terrace is no stranger to paranormal activity. With Halloween around the corner, one Terrace resident shared a spooky story from his old residence.
In 2010, Steve Wright Sr. lived in a grey house on Walsh Ave. The house had outer walls made of aged concrete that looked like limestone. It was as creepy on the inside as it was on the outside.
"The day that I moved in, the landlord had us agree to never open up the boarded entrance to the stairs of an attic," he said. "Suspiciously, my curiosity got the best of me."
I ran out of storage space, for stuff that were of value to me, so with the idea of preserving my belongings, I unblocked the wood from the entrance. That was a great mistake," he added.
"The same week, my roommates and I heard banging at the top corners of our rooms. We also heard knocking on the doors, and walls. My partners cat was flung from one side of the living room to the other. The poor cat had a patch of fur missing after the event," said Wright Sr.
"From that day forth, I’m a firm believer in the paranormal. Till this day, from time to time, things near me start moving on its own. Thanks for the life lesson past landlord," he said.
The house is demolished now with a new house built over it.
Was it demolished to destroy the spirit's connection to the physical realm? Is the spirit still there? Did the spirit follow Wright Sr.?
These questions remain unanswered.
