Three well-established Terrace dealerships, MacCarthy GM, Terrace Honda and Prevost RV are now part of a larger family of dealerships that offers a wide range of nameplates.

Chris Tonkin established Straightline Motor Group in 2016 and with the addition of the three Terrace businesses now boasts nine automotive businesses in Terrace, Calgary, Medicine Hat and Fort Saskatchewan.

Tonkin, president and dealer principal, purchased the dealerships along with Justin Rose, general manager and managing partner.

While the dealerships have taken on new names, Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC, Straightline Honda and Straightline RV & Marine, the new owners said they intend to continue the community-centric MacCarthy and Prevost legacies.

The motor group also includes: NAPA Auto Pro, Straightline Kia and Straightline Volkswagon in Medicine Hat; Straightline Kia and Straightline Utility Vehicles in Calgary; and Straightline Dodge in Fort Saskatchwan.
