Terrace RCMP arrested two individuals on Jan. 23, 2025 for firearm related offences.

The arrests stem from an investigation that began in Dec. 2024 after police received a tip regarding potential firearms manufacturing.

The Terrace Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) took charge of the investigation and worked with other units and agencies including Terrace General Investigation Section (GIS), Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and National Weapons Enforcement Support Team (NWEST).

Their efforts led to the execution of a search warrant on Jan. 23 where two arrests were made and items such as 3D printed firearms, 3D printed silencers, assorted tools used for the manufacturing and assembling of guns, and large quantities of suspected pharmaceutical drugs were found during the search.

Both individuals have been released from custody and one has a court date and conditions related to the offences.

Terrace RCMP are forwarding the results of their investigation to crown counsel for consideration of charges.
