Terrace RCMP say "significant quantities" of suspected cocaine, crystal meth, other pharmaceuticals, prohibited weapons, cash and contraband tobacco were seized when officers used a search warrant at a home on the 4600 Block of Queensway Drive in Thornhill on May 3.
Seven people were arrested with five being released at the location and two being taken to the RCMP detachment for release later on after further investigation.
The file remains under investigation, said police.
Man hit on head
One man was taken to hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries after he was hit over the head during an altercation in the Northwest Regional Airport Terrace-Kitimat parking lot the morning of April 29, police say.
"Information was received that one man had hit another man with his vehicle, then hit him over the head with a tire iron," information released by the police indicated.
The man not taken to the hospital was taken to the RCMP detachment for a court date and charges of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon have now been filed. The man now has a court date and has been released with conditions.
Crash near the roundabout
The driver of a motorcycle was taken to hospital after a crash near the Hwy1y16/37 roundabout the evening of May 8.
Police called to the scene noted an odour of alcohol on the man's breath, resulting in a 24-hour driving prohibition. The file remains under investigation.
