Scholarships, bursaries recognize grad achievements

Several students received awards and funding

The achievements of Centennial Christian School graduating students were recognized at a school assembly June 3, 2025.

Suzanne Lombard received a Centennial Christian School school board scholarship of $750, the Lindsay Family Scholarship of $750, the Trevor John Bandstra Memorial Scholarship of $1,000 and the Voogd Family Theatre Arts Scholarship of $750. She also received the UNBC Scholars Award of four years tuition based on her top student academic course work in Grade 11.

Lily Penner received the Centennial Christian School staff discipleship scholarship of $750, the MESH scholarship of $500 and the Student Choice Scholarship of $750.

Piper MacCormac received the Curt Tuininga Memorial Scholarship of $750 and the Student Volunteer and Community Scholarship of $750.

Erica Rogers received the Trades/Vocational/Music Scholarship of $500 and the Mrs. V.A. Lindsay Memorial Scholarship of $750.

Molly Mertin received the Heart and Hands Scholarship of $750 and the Mike and Lynn Whelpley Memorial Scholarship of $750. She is also the second recipient of a MESH scholarship of $500 as well as the CCS Athletic Scholarship of $750.

Sophia Leffers received the Bandstra Transportation Bursary of $500.

Gordon Lindsay received the Rain Coast Wash and Lube Scholarship of $750 and the Kumpolt Family Service and Sacrifice Scholarship of $750.

Shane Evans received the District Authority Scholarship of $1,250.
