A moose struck by a vehicle is immobilized on Bean Station Rd on the morning of Feb. 6. It was soon after destroyed by COS.

The Conservation Officer Service is asking drivers in the Terrace and Kitimat area to keep their speeds down following five separate motor vehicle collisions with moose in the last 24 hours. All of the animals were killed.

“We’re asking people to slow down at night as wildlife are having a rough time moving around with all the deep snow,” said Sgt. Tracy Walbauer. “Wildlife are using the cleared roadways to travel, so stay alert and slow down.”

All five Moose collisions were in the Terrace area.
