Starting Nov. 29, the washrooms at George Little Park will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the winter months.
They were previously open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The unisex washrooms were installed in October 2023 and include baby-changing tables.
Their construction, associated works and transportation to Terrace cost $395,000, all of which came in the form of grants from the Terrace Community Forest and the federal Pacific Economic Development Canada agency (through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund).
No smoking or loitering is allowed inside. Staff will be monitoring the facilities, but the City of Terrace asks that if they need to be attended people should call 250-615-6567.
