Police will be at the Skeena Mall Oct. 25 to distribute child identification kits.
These are free and can apply to children of all ages, police said in a release.
"Child identification kits are a tool provided to families and are used to store your child's fingerprints, photo, blood type and hair sample," the release stated.
"With child ID kits completed, parents and authorities can access vital information about a child promptly which is crucial in situationss where time is of the essence."
The kits will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
