To the editor:
Claudette Sandecki in her letter to The Terrace Standard of Sept. 12, 2024 ("Museum and cemetery plans demand serious consideration") has it all wrong again. Nowhere have I been on record for wanting a museum in Thornhill.
From engaging the community dozens of times in the last few years the only overwhelming consensus has been sidewalks around our schools in Thornhill.
The number two consensus is a heritage park and development of riverside trails.
A cemetery has come up as the third most popular wish list item. Every community between Prince George and Prince Rupert, whether large or small, incorporated or not, has a cemetery. The only exception is Thornhill.
The above mentioned three items were the most popular wanted items among a dozen or more others.
