In the October 27, 2022, Claudette Sandecki, under ‘To lower voting age based on one exceptional teen is foolhardy’, she stated that youth do not have the maturity to vote.

But in Canadian society, we allow 16 years old to have a divers licence and drive cars, trucks, they can get married and have children, perhaps the most responsible act for a human being. And they can have a part time or full time job, and pay taxes, does that not amount to taxation without representation, at least until they turn 18?
There are also a number of countries who have lowered the voting age to 16.
