To the editor:
I would like to thank the hundreds of people who signed a petition to either keep the name Mills Memorial Hospital for the new hospital or change it to Mills Memorial Regional Hospital which takes in all towns from Prince Rupert to Prince George.
I have waited many months to sit down with the Northern Health Authority, which I was told I was on their list to appear before them to have input into the name change for the new hospital. It was to voice my concerns.
As of November, I am still waiting. It is just like the city council who is supposed to represent the taxpayers of Terrace It chooses to go behind closed doors to throw their support behind people outside of Terrace's boundaries and not listen to the taxpayers. We pay the city taxes and it is elected to represent us and to support us.
In my book you have let your personal feelings get in the way of what you were elected for, and that is representing the local taxpayers of Terrace.
