IT TAKES time and commitment to interest young people in the sciences and the Northern Savings Credit Union recognized the efforts of the Pacific Northwest Regional Science Fair in encouraging young people to study the sciences through a donation of $750.

The donation was one of 13 presented during Credit Union Week, Oct. 15-19.

Each of the four credit union branches within the Northern Savings network received $15,000 to distribute.

Parmar, a Terrace resident, noted the contributions made by community organizations.

On behalf of the board and employees, I want you to know how much we value the work that you do that is enriching the lives of our communities.” he said.

The Terrace and District Community Service received $2500.

Terrace Crime Stoppers Society received $1,000.

Terrace Old Age Pensioners Assoc. received $1500.

My Recreational Mountain Co-operative received $1,000.

The Terrace Art Association received $600.

The Terrace 3 Breed Classic Horse Show received $500.

Caledonia Secondary School received $,1500.

The Skeena Valley Fall Fair received $2,000.

Pacific Northwest Regional Science Fair received $750.

The Northwest Science and Innovation Society received $1,000.

The 747 Unicorn Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron received $500.

The Terrace Biathlon group received $1,000.

Terrace Search & Rescue received $1,150.
