THE SALVATION Army set out the kettles for the start of its annual kettle campaign yesterday.

Every year, donations given in the kettles are used for the Christmas hampers, the soup kitchen and an emergency food bank.

Volunteers wear santa hats and have identification cards hanging on lanyards around their necks this year.

Kettles are out at Canadian Tire, Real Canadian Wholesale Club, Safeway, Save On Foods, the BC government liquor store and Walmart.
