A touch of the past will be on the catwalk to celebrate Founder’s Day next week. In the Heritage Fashion Show, some of our pioneers will be modelling old-fashioned clothing. Julia Little, daughter-in-law of George Little, will model her wedding dress and she still has her husband Gordon’s suit, says Debbie Letawski of the George Little House. George Little’s hat is at the museum and Ione Nicolson has her mother’s 1920’s flapper dress, she adds.More people are coming forward to share their items so it should be fun, says Letawski. There will be door prizes and old-fashioned finger food served. The fashion show is part of the “A Little Town Site A Big Celebration” events to celebrate the 100 years of the town site plan survey. Events to celebrate will take place throughout the year. The Heritage Fashion Show walks into history at 2 p.m. March 12 at the Best Western Plus Hotel. There is a small admission fee.

Vintage clothing and models are needed.
