TERRACE CHURCHES Food Bank can stock its shelves with donations from two local businesses.
Shoppers Drug Mart and the Shoppers Home Healthcare store raised $766 and three boxfuls of food donations for the charity with a variety of events.
The stores held a raffle for a big screen TV, a play station and Sony camera; had jeans' day on Fridays and the home healthcare store collected food donations.
Also the manager of the store dressed up for Halloween and owner Barb Rea said if $100 could be raised she would match it.
So that added another $200 for the food bank.
The next food bank opening is Jan. 16 to 19.
