Twenty four hour famine rescheduled for July

A day-long  hunger strike was scheduled two weekends ago but it never happened.

Organized by a student concerned about homeless peers and a lack of resources in Terrace, Jessica McCallum-Miller intended to collect signatures  during an overnight protests along millennium trail.

But the rally didn’t happen because there was adult concern about the young protestors getting arrested.

Sandy Watson, a counselor who helped McCallum Miller turn her concern into a campaign, suggested staying the protest until city approval was given, explained Kathy Bell, who intended to supervise the last event.

Pending city approval, it is set again for July 8th and 9th.
