People in Terrace took part in the Rotary Club of Terrace Auction during the weekend (Oct. 9 and Oct. 7), bidding close to $50,000 according to preliminary numbers released by the club.

The 61st iteration of the auction was livestreamed on YouTube from the Terrace Sportsplex and was available on Zoom for the second straight year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the two-day event, there was a total of $46,765 bid on 400 items that were donated by local agencies and businesses — just over 64 per cent of the total retail value of the items.

Also, residents donated over $2,500 in cash, which will be used alongside the auction revenue to fund the club’s community projects.
