A LOCAL teen has been named a finalist in the upcoming Miss Teen BC-World pageant in March.
Shantelle McLean, who was the first person here to carry the Olympic Torch on its way through town last year, is a finalist and if chosen, she will go to Toronto and compete in the Miss Teen Canada-World pageant, according to her mom Tammy.
The Miss Teen Canada-World pageant is considered the preliminary step to the Miss Teen World contest.
