THE GREATER Terrace Beautification Society is looking for suggestions from the community for a name for its project at the old Esso site downtown.

The site is nearing completion at the corner of Lakelse Avenue and Emerson Street and society members say a name hasn’t stuck.

“Since we began this project over four years ago, a number of names have been used to describe the site – the Esso site, the brownfield project, Brownfield to Greenspace, B2G? – but none have stuck and none are really appropriate for what the site is now and will hopefully be into the future,” said Val Parr.

The society is looking to the public to submit its choices for names.

“We plan to collect names until project completion, with an announcement at our grand opening, which will hopefully be this fall,” said Parr.

Ballots are available at the George Little House, or email the name you would give to the site to littlehouse@terrace.ca.
