The growing season here in Terrace has proven very abundant, at least for one family who grew at least one huge vegetable.
A monster zucchini weighing in at 7 lbs and measuring about 20 inches long is one such example.
Amber Zanon said she got it from family friends Heather and Jason Levescque after they grew it in their garden.
She and her daughter Claire, 3, who isn't much taller than the large veggie, were going to use it to make zucchini loaf, baked zucchini sticks and as an addition to pasta, she said.
Friends suggested that they should enter it in the upcoming Skeena Valley Fall Fair.
