COMMUNITY FUTURES hands over $2

COMMUNITY FUTURES handed over $2,500 to become a green member, the first level of corporate membership with My Mountain Co-op, which wants to buy Shames Mt. ski hill.

“We think it's important to the community to have a ski hill,” chair of 16/37 Blair Pylot said, saying this shows community spirit and the hill is the reason why some people come to the area to live.

My Mountain Co-op has raised almost $360,000 so far in its bid to raise $2 million to purchase the ski hill and make improvements to the facility.
