RELAY FOR Life received more support from a local business to help recognize volunteers and provide prizes to participants.

MR. MIKE’S, a Supporter sponsor of the relay, provided $2,000 worth of gift cards for prizes and volunteer recognition for this year’s event.

“We are grateful for the generous support Mr. Mike’s is providing Relay For Life 2011,” said Helen Owen,

Community Fundraising Coordinator Canadian Cancer Society, BC and Yukon Division Northern Region Terrace.

Story also drew “Molar Express” as the winning team of the relay early bird registration prize, added Owen.

The team won $150 of Mr. Mike’s gift cards.

Twenty-five teams qualified for the draw for having a minimum of six participants and being registered by March 31.

Relay For Life is Saturday, May 14 at Skeena Junior Secondary School.
