MEMBERS OF the Latin community in the region held a Fiesta Latina dinner and dance here Jan. 29.
It was held at Northwest Community College and was the first one of its kind to be staged here.
A variety of organizations, businesses and individuals helped organize the event.
Profits from this event will be shared with a local charity and a fund reserved to help Latin American countries, said participant Leydi Noble.
"It could be a country with a natural disaster," she said of assistance.
The organizing group is meeting this week to select a local charity.
