Save on Foods is helping children get into sports by donating money to Kidsport in Terrace.
The donation of $1337,05 was handed over to the organization, Feb. 7.
The money was raised during a pancake breakfast held last year, and is the first time the store has donated to Kidsport.
“I think that it is awesome,” said Tammy Praticante from Kidsport.
She adds the money will be used to help pay for children's sports in the area.
The program helps families struggling to come up with the money to cover the cost of sports registration.
Praticante said the program has been in place for three years, and is important to children because it directly allows them to be involved sports.
