You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who loves their job more than Erwin Alexander.
For the past seven years, Alexander has worked for the Nisga'a Lisims Government as a lands and resource enforcement officer.
"It's my dream job," he said from the driver's seat of his work truck after having checked for fishermen at the lava bed boat launch in the Nass Valley Saturday (June 15).
"I get to use boats, ATVs and this truck for work ... and the tourists are so nice, so I have no complaints."
Prior to his current job, Alexander worked as a bylaw officer in nearby Lax̱g̱altsʼap, also known as Greenville, where his wife is from and where they raised their family.
Born in Campbell River, Alexander's father was a logger who would move his family of 10 children around for work. One relocation was to Ging̱olx in the Nass Valley, a move which stuck for Alexander.
