A CORPORATE sponsor for the Relay for Life has jumped on board with a donation.
Wightman and Smith Insurance Ltd. presented the local branch of the cancer society with a cheque for $500 for this year's event, set to go May 12.
Relay participants are already taking pledges with the top individuals and teams listed on the Terrace Relay for Life page on the Relay for Life BC website.
As of today, total donations had topped $40,000.
Relay for Life is getting ready to run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Skeena Jr. Secondary track May 12.
Luminaries are already on sale for a late night lap to light up the track. The event will kick off with the survivors' lap.
