The Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art’s annual holiday art show is on today and tomorrow at North West Community College in Terrace.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days attendees can check out what the students have been working on this year and purchase crafts, cards and Christmas gifts made by the students.
Find the artists and their wares at the Waap Freda Diesing studio building at the college campus. Refreshments are also being served.
While the artists are on hand to talk about their work, a number of instructors are in Vancouver attending a ceremony for artist and Freda Diesing instructor Ken McNeil. He is the recipient of a 2013 BC Creative Achievement Awards for First Nations’ Art that celebrates artistic excellence in traditional, contemporary or media art.
