FOOD BANK client numbers dropped in April as expected while staying close to the numbers of past Aprils.
Terrace Churches Food Bank volunteers handed out 608 bags of food to 408 families, said food bank treasurer Dennis Brewer.
“This was down from the past few months but was just about the same as last April,” he said. “April is for some reason traditionally lower than preceding months. Guess it may be a sign of spring?”
Volunteers were plentiful even with the music festival going on, he added.
The last two food banks until fall are May 16-19 and June 13-16.
