TERRACE Child Development Centre staff this week presented a basket full of speech and language items to the father of a baby born at Mills Memorial Hospital.
May is speech and hearing month and a draw was held from all mothers’ names who had a baby at the hospital in May.
The McKinnon family from Dease Lake was the winner.
Receiving the gift basket was Nico McKinnon with son Rowan, the family’s first born. Rowan weighed eight pounds, seven ounces at birth.
Making the presentation from the child development centre was Monique Malenfant, the therapy administration assistant, speech language pathologist Sheila Pretto and health unit speech language pathologist Pat Sloan.
