IT'S DAFFODILS all day today as cancer society volunteers bundle and hand them out to everyone who ordered a bunch.
And for the second year in a row, daffodil pins are also available.
A variety of people gathered at city hall yesterday to kick off Daffodil Month and mayor Dave Pernarowski was "pinned" with a daffodil pin.
April is Daffodil Month and April 27 is Daffodil Day.
For Daffodil Day, people are encouraged to remember those who have died of cancer and reflect on those who are living with the disease.
People are also asked to do something special for someone living with cancer or to contribute in some way to fight the disease.
And preparations are also underway for the Relay for Life, taking place May 12 at the Skeena Junior Secondary track for 12 hours starting at 10 a.m.
Donations for the relay have already reached more than $37,000.
