ROYAL PURPLE welcomed about 35 girls to its annual Grad Tea April 24 at Elks Hall.

The girls enjoyed tea and snacks and were given flowers and gifts from local businesses at the afternoon event.

Royal Purple is the women’s equivalent of the Elks and members take part in community events and do things for the community to give back.

The tea is a way to introduce themselves and what they do to young women.

Last year, the tea saw about 70 girls take part, one of its larger numbers of grads.
