This is the 14th year the Terrace RCMP is hosting Cram the Cruiser in conjunction with local grocery stores and the community to collect non-perishable donations for local charities.
The event takes place Dec. 14 at Safeway, Save On Foods and the Real Canadian Wholesale Club between the hours of 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
All non-perishable donations will be shared between the Terrace Churches Food Bank, the Salvation Army and Ksan Place.
"These organizations are always so grateful for the outpouring of generosity from the community," said Terrace RCMP Constable Kelly Cates.
"One charity noted that there has been a significant increase this year in the number of people and homes that are accessing services and in need of food."
Officers at all three locations will be more than happy to hand out candy canes to those donating to fill up their cruisers.
There's even a suggestion Santa will be making the rounds, said Cates.
