A key Canadian Cancer Society worker here is leaving town soon.
Helen Owen, who has been the community fundraising coordinator for the Canadian Cancer Society here in Terrace since 2008 and was Relay for Life organizer for three years before that, has taken a job as a team leader for revenue development for the northern region of the Canadian Cancer Society in Prince George.
This will allow her to work with all 12 Relay for Life events in northern B.C., she said.
“It has been my honour and privilege to work with the dedicated volunteers, participants and sponsors involved in the Terrace event. Thanks you for all your generous support,” said Owen.
In mid-November, Lori Neid will be taking over from Owen.
