Cameron remains secretary-treasurer

The school board for the Coast Mountains school district has said it will not continue the search for a new secretary-treasurer until a new superintendent has been decided. The board recently announced current superintendent Nancy Wells will remain until 2012.This means interim secretary-treasurer Alanna Cameron will be staying in the position until at least that time, said Barry Pankhurst, school board chair. He adds that when the time comes to choose someone for the role, he hopes Cameron will apply. The board has currently hired the services of Guy Bonnefoy, a retired secretary-treasurer, on a contract basis to assist Cameron with this year’s budget. Both Cameron and current superintendent Nancy Wells were hired by the district following the sudden departures of former superintendent Rob Greenwood and former secretary-treasurer Linda Brown last fall.
