THE FIRST round of Summer Drama Days for this year winds down tomorrow with a performance of several scenes from Alice in Wonderland.

The young actors have spent three weeks having fun, learning about theatre and preparing their performance.

Brixton Sandhals and Katie Parr are the leaders and have taken their young charges from beginner theatre games through to the performance.

Along the way, they were assisted by former instructor Melayna Ross. who recently won an award for her acting in Perfect Pie at Mainstage in Kelowna.

Tomorrow's audience will see the Mad Hatter's Tea Party scene, plus two small scenes between Alice and the Cheshire Cat at the beginning and end, said Sandhals, who adapted and revised the Disney film version with the only real big changes appearing in the final Cheshire Cat scene.

Summer Drama Days actors perform scenes from Alice in Wonderland at 7 p.m. Friday, July 26 at the Terrace Little Theatre.

Tickets on sale at the door.

The second round of Summer Drama Days runs August 6-24.

Registration is at Uniglobe Courtesy travel in the Lazelle Mini-Mall.
