REPLACING a roof is no easy or inexpensive project and the 747 Unicorn Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron has been working hard to get it accomplished.

It was helped just recently with a $500 donation from the Northern Savings Credit Union as part of the credit union's program of providing assistance to community groups.

The donation was made during Credit Union Week, Oct. 15-19.

Each of the four credit union branches within the Northern Savings network received $15,000 to distribute.

Credit union chair Nirmal Parmar, a Terrace resident, noted the contributions made by community organizations.

“On behalf of the board and employees, I want you to know how much we value the work that you do that is enriching the lives of our communities.” he said.
