Terrace, BC brew pub plan moves along

Skeena Brewery Company says it has approval in principle for brew facility

SKEENA Brewing Company says it has received approval in principle from the provincial Liquor Control and Licensing Branch to open a brewery manufacturing facility on the section of the old Terrace Co-op property recently purchased from the city.

Endorsements are included for an agent’s licence and on-site retail store.

The approval in principle is pending final inspection of the facility that SBC will construct at the Greig Avenue address.

“We’ve got the land, and now we are well on the way to getting the licence,” said company president Dr. Greg Linton.  “Investors are stepping up to finance building & equipment under the Provincial Eligible Business Corporation 30 per cent tax break as we move onto the lounge endorsement approval process."

The proposed brewing facility will produce beer for site sales and regional distribution in kegs, bottles, and growlers.
