The 57th Legion Bonspiel will take place this weekend at the Terrace curling rink.
Chair of the event Mary Ann Misfeldt said the opening ceremony will take place around 7 p.m. on Friday night.
She expects the ceremony to be accompanied by the Terrace Pipes and Drums.
Play will continue on throughout the weekend and will include a Saturday afternoon banquet and a Sunday morning breakfast.
“It’s considered to be one of the better attended bonspiels,” Misfeldt said. “The camaraderie is terrific...it’s always been considered a really fun bonspiel.”
She added that all members of the public are welcome to come down to the rink and watch.
